What Jesus taught is only the beginning. His teachings were limited to the level that his audience could understand. You can’t give advanced teachings to someone so far behind. Jesus was to lay the foundation. The Bible is only the beginning. Nothing was lost, all the teachings are still available to everyone on the inside.
Like teaching on inner focus are brief because everyone at that time period were fighting and killing. You can only teach a population, what the population is ready for. A teaching that no one understands isn’t worth as much.
Truly I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father
John 14:12
This post may upset people who see the Bible as the only source of wisdom. But after you learn to become still on the inside; to have your mind go silent, then wisdom is able to flow though to you, and thoughts may arise that give you insight that you didn’t know a moment beforehand. And it is quite clear to you that wasn’t a thought that you created. Wisdom comes from within, that is the direct path. That is where the guidance arose from for the people who author spiritual books such as the Bible. The wisdom comes from a single source that we all have access too if we learn how to listen internally. Meditation helps with this. It is uncomfortable at first because the busy mind doesn’t want to stop running it’s loops and useless thoughts.
