The valley teaches us how to climb the mountain higher and how to sustain higher altitudes
“A Course in Miracles” book is hugely important to keep on track in the transition. It gives the guidance through the uncertainty of the mind when the mind is switching from fear to love.
In the greatest discomfort is the greatest growth. Pain is the greatest teacher.
As an example; I’ve found that sitting with pain and letting it be, is a great teacher of patience.
Just all the little things in life that we allow to rob us of our peace, like traffic or waiting in line. God wants us to be at peace, and to grow out of dysfunctions that allow the little things to bother us.
Sitting in traffic is easy compared to sitting with emotional pain; without trying to suppress or avoid it, just letting it be. (made me think of “let it be” by the Beatles). Growing to where the little things in life don’t pull us down. We aren’t in peace because we let the little things in life bother/control our emotional state. Part of the teaching is if we aren’t bothered by experiencing emotional pain, then nothing else can shake us (building on bedrock). The other part is not being ran by fear.
All things that isn’t God is fear. You can work through it. Anger, insecurity, etc that we work through come from fear. Fear is just a thought. An untrue thought that we created; and we can choose to not believe in it.
We are a part of society that is shifting toward living through God and not fear.
Breaking the habits that generationally has been passed down is painful, but in the end we provide the guidance so that generations in the future would be brought up to only know love and not fear.
(Fear causes emotional pain, (which is where the pain comes from that we work through), which is self-inflicted by the thoughts that we believe).
